Remember when your mom or dad had told you that you would be grounded until college? Yes? No? Well that’s what the pandemic felt like, even if you were in college, you felt like you were still grounded. The lucky ones went from school, work, home. But two out of three of those things were taking place at your house.

The definition of Insanity is to do the same thing over and over again in the same manner and to expect different results.

Since March of 2020 we were put into a quarantine, at first this meant an extra two weeks of spring break and then things would go back to normal, or at least we thought it would..

Shops, and restaurants closed all around town, soon the only people that got to leave their house were nurses, doctors, grocery store workers, you only had the necessities, no luxury items were available. We were living the same day over and over again, waking up and staying home and repeating it every day that followed. Every day we hoped that we would get different news from the politicians, but we only got news that everything was getting worse, it was fraying farther away from getting better any time soon.

Almost a whole year later, 365 days we are still uncertain about the coronavirus, but we are getting closer to finding a new normal with masks and a vaccine. Yet there is still a long way to go until we reach normal again.
